San Diego Padres @ San Francisco Giants
We went to our first baseball game of the season last night, and it was Diane’s first time at AT&T stadium, which is a cool park. Diane and I drove up with Jason, who gave us the tickets. He got four of them through work and was nice enough to invite us. We met up with Michelle who took the BART train in from across the bay. It was a foggy and cold San Fran night, people wearing winter hats and blankets after Memorial Day! Our seats where “club level” so we had the comfort of indoor concessions and shorter lines (not to mention wait service too) ! Check out the cool field and Coke bottle. There is a slide inside of it!
The Giants lost after giving up 4 runs in the 13th inning (close to midnight by then!) but it was a very exciting game 🙂 I caught a foul ball – well almost. The group behind me jumped on my head with their mitts, just as it approached, and I lost sight. But it smacked my hand pretty good and landed down by Jason’s feet, who was quick to snatch it up. He said I deserved the ball for taking the pain, so once again thank you Jason! Also, the Giants scored a triple play in the eighth inning or so, the park went wild.
That’s me with the prize and a commemorative certificate! 🙂 After the show there where some fireworks! A pretty eventful night!
