Christmas in Florida
Early this morning we flew in to Orlando International Airport via a Phoenix layover to spend the holidays with Jeff’s parents. We had a lovely late-nite turkey dinner after which we opened presents. Lisa and Mike gave me an egret colored long sleeve turtle neck, a tan vest and a charm necklace. I also received the book “Secret Lives of Bees” which I an looking forward to reading. Jeff received a couple of nice dress shirts and ties.
Jeff showed me a couple of his favorite ornaments on the Christmas tree which I was surprised to discover looked eerily similar to my sister’s ornaments from the same time. One was a flat gold etching of a baby with his name and year written on it. The other was this ball with cartoon characters and the text “Baby’s First Christmas 1979”.
