Easter Eggs (Ehhh…)

Blue Chick on Grass

Patti drove up from San Diego and visited with us on Easter. I had to go to the store and buy some white eggs since we usually buy organic brown eggs. I cooked the first batch in my egg-cooker, then let Jeff cook the second batch, however that didn’t turn out so well. I think when you do back-to-back batches, it over cooks the eggs since the machine is so hot already. Most of that batch cracked so we couldn’t dye them.

Flowers and DirtThe Whole Batch

I didn’t have a very successful egg decorating session. The eggs kept cracking when i would draw on them, and my designs were just not very…creative. I got pretty frustrated, but glad at least one turned out well enough to deem photo worthy! This yellow chick on blue — quite chipper aint it? As far as the other eggs they were all disappointments! Better luck next year i guess. Patti died a few of them, like the purple and multi colored sunset looking one which i think looks really water-color-painting-ish.

I had to eat a few egg salad sandwiches for lunch this week, but i normally do so anyway, so it was NBD. Me <3 egg salad!

On this day..
