Lose It! iPhone App

After seeing the recent iPhone commercial advertising the Lose It! app, i decided it wouldn’t be a bad idea to start logging my food again. I did it religiously in college, and it really does help you acknowledge your food intake and food choices — bad and good! I’m starting today, and hoping to eat less sugar and less fat. I’m not specifically trying to lose weight, so i’m not limiting any food but definitely want to maintain my current weight and hopefully lower my body fat percentage. Currently it ranges from about 20-22%, which is actually pretty good but there is always room for improvement. I want to be more serious about my weight lifting and because i know i already get enough cardio from group exercise!

The app works pretty nicely — i love the little icons for the food, and the fact that you can also log your exercise. It doesn’t allow you to input your body fat percentage though which is a bit of a bummer, but for a free app its definitely a great tool to help make healthy decisions.
