Valentine’s Day Dinner 2009
Valentines Day turned out perfect! Well besides the fact that I was sick. I planned out a home cooked meal for Jeff and I, but I wanted it to be a surprise, so yesterday night i stayed late at work and designed a flash website/card inviting him to dinner. Before i went to the gym this morning, I got up early and pulled the page up on his computer, decorated the dining table, and made Jeff his morning coffee. By the time i came home, Jeff was up and saw the invitation, so i started cooking! I made a copycat version of Outback’s Bleu Cheese Chopped Salad, French Onion Soup, and Cheese Fondue with sides of vegetables, meatballs, sausages, bread, and apples. We were sooo stuffed after just eating the soup and salad we barely touched the fondue! For dessert i planned Chocolate Fondue but we ended up being lazy and just eating banana splits with the pound cake i had made for the fondue. Jeff loved everything, but unfortunately since i have a mild cold, i couldn’t taste ANYTHING! *Sigh* At least my honey loved it. He wrote me a really cute poem and made me some love coupons that are priceless! Cheers to our first Valentines day as husband and wife! I love you Jeff!
